Mrs P. Caddy:-

"Richard took a very professional approach to his job. He arrived punctually to give me a verbal quotation for some gardening work, which he followed up with a written quotation.  A date and time was arranged for him to do the work, which he kept to.

I was happy with the work he carried out and the way he cleared away hedge clippings etc. He also sent me an email advising me how to improve the health and growth of my laurel hedge, which was very helpful.

I would certainly employ him again."

Mrs J. Graham:-

"I am very satisfied with his expertise, especially with roses, and with laying my new lawn. All the work he has done is excellent."

Mr I. Jackson:-

"Quick and efficient worker. Offered sound advice and was reliable."

Mrs Y. Kvello:-

"Richard did a wonderful job transforming an overgrown garden into an easily maintained and great looking garden. He did the job professionally and promptly, he also cheerfully accommodated the vagaries of the delivery of the materials that I ordered for the job.

I would certainly use Richard again."

Mr W. Mcilroy:-

"Richard has done a lot of gardening jobs for me and all entirely satisfactory."

Mrs M. Hopkins:-

"I have employed Richard since April 2014. He is establishing a new business and is a newly  trained horticulturalist.

He works between 4 to 6 hours a month for me. He is pleasant and sociable and a good timekeeper. When his allocated work is finished he always checks if there is anything else to do rather than drag out the work.

He uses his own tools which are in excellent condition and he tidies up and removes all garden waste when he has finished.

He preserves even the most struggling of plants and seems to be very 'green fingered'  - what he plants grows. He is helping me to plan the garden so that is easy and economical to manage and obviously loves plants and the work he is doing.

He provides fertiliser, weed killer etc and monitors the ground for any deficiencies. What he doesn't know he goes away and looks up.
My only experience of him is in  a small garden but for this work I would recommend him."

Mr C. Lamb:-

Richard did a number of jobs in a small urban garden in central Cambridge including fencing and levelling paving that had become uneven. But the most important thing he did was to sink a barrier-membrane around two stands of very large bamboo that had spread too far. When the bamboo was planted five years ago the membrane put in was not sufficiently strong - nor was it put in to the correct depth.

I am so pleased that I found Richard through a recommendation from Scotsdales because unlike many people offering gardenwork and landscaping he is both a plantsman and trained horticulturalist who knows about plants but particularly bamboo and so gave us proper advice about what best to do with these beautiful but challenging plants. I am very pleased with his work.

Mrs S. Camps:-

"Thank you for doing such a fabulous job, we've had so many lovely comments from passing people. The front looks superb, very smart and the inside lawn is really super, it's a completely new garden. Also thank you for making it so easy for us, for your very hard work in the heat! We will definitely recommend you to other people."
